The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)   Unity Forum has challenged stakeholder of the party to focus on the its progress rather than dividing members for selfishness.

Chairman of the forum, Barrister Yusuf Sambo stated this at their meeting held in Zaria at the weekend.
He said time for political division as it used to be in the past is over.
Barrister Sambo further said that  the Unity Forum has come to stay with no bias or stakeholders’ influence, instead, anyone that feels he is good enough should go and contest any position he wants to vie for.
According to him, “the PDP Unity Forum will henceforth, choose the best person that will win during elections so that we can throw our support,”.
He warned that politicians who hide until election period before they show up should start counting themselves out of any elective position and leave those with vision and mission as well as those with PDP in their heart to pilot the party’s affairs for good.
Barrister Sambo who contested for Zaria Local Government Chairman under the PDP in the last election, said,  he will leave no stone unturned in changing the political tide.
Earlier in his remarks, the Forum’s Coordinator, Alhaji Aliyu Samaila commended members for their doggedness  during last Local Government election that led PDP to victory but it was robbed.
Samaila urged them to remain resolute in taking their party to victory at all times without any fear.
The coordinator maintained their position to reject any politician that would undermine their efforts in trying to change the old fashion politics.
Also in her remarks, Rahama Abdullahi Yarima  said very soon women will take over politics from men as they are the warriors during elections.
She appealed to women not to relent on their commitment in making PDP a leading party not only in Zaria but the whole country at large.
