Unguwar Sanusi:  Late Sarki Sanusi Immortalized With Educational Resource Centre

The late founder of Unguwar Sanusi, Sarki Muhammad Sanusi is honoured with an Educational Resource Centre that has since commenced a remedial programme on various courses as well as skills and entrepreneurship. 

The establishment of Muhammad Sanusi Educational Resource Centre was made possible though the moral support and contributions of members of Unguwar Sunusi Foundation, Board of Trustees, families of the late Sanusi, pioneers teachers and the initial first support and commitment of Honourable Kabir Yakubu Jarumi, the Executive Chairman of Kaduna South Local Government Area, over the completed facility situated at LGEA Polytechnic Road, Kaduna.

The Unguwar Sunusi Foundation chairman, Muhammad Sani Hamza narrated this through the centre’s Information Officer, Alhaji Sa’idu Abubakar, former New Nigerian Newspapers Sports Editor and Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) president, during the  inauguration ceremony of management of Muhammad Sanusi Educational Resource Centre held on October 8, 

Mr Sani Hamza said the centre was named after the late founder of the area and the first village head of Unguwar Sanusi because of his recognition and contributions to the development of education. ” Indeed he is an educationist of the highest order”.

The occasion saw to the inauguration of the pioneer management of the centre whom were given a one year provisional appointment. 

Their appointment was based on their contributions, experiences, track record of integrity, honesty, high sense of responsibility, commitment and team work.

Sani Hamza assured that the centre will fully take off as the first of its kind within the community. 

He then challenged the management and the board of trustees to ensure that all necessary requirements for accreditation, plan courses and programme are provided within the shortest possible time.

In their individual goodwill messages, the royal father of the day, His Royal Highness, the District Head of Tudun Wada. Sarkin Ruwan Zazzau, through his representative, said, there’s nothing comparable to education in the whole world. 

He therefore, saluted the  efforts of Unguwar Sunusi foundation and their village head that came out with such idea of an educational resource centre within their community.

On his  part, the Managing Director of Mortgage Bank of Nigeria Plc, and  Jarman Kura, Alhaji Hayatu Atiku Auwal, said he is happy to be in the midst of his community and he will not relent in giving out or helping towards education. 

“In his words, “please  accept from me a small token of five hundred thousand Naira for a start”.

Alhaji Shariff Usmaniyya, the CEO of Usmaniyya Petroleum Ltd and the current chairman of the board of trustees of the resource center,  said that education is very important  in this world and the hereafter. 

He appealed to others to contribute in what they deem necessary in cash or kind toward education of our children.

Other speakers included, Alhaji Bashir Muhammad, chairman PCRC Unguwar Sunusi Division,  Alhaji Bashir Ibrahim of  Marafa Foundation, former chairman Kaduna South Local Government Area and former member Kaduna State House of Assembly, Honourable Bala Isa Idris and Hajiya Habiba Garba Abubakar,   Personal Manager INEC, who is the current Registrar of the Muhammad Sanusi Educational Resource Centre.
