The management of TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation has saluted Nigerians Workers as they mark Workers Day on May 1.
This was contained in a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani (Sadaukin Garkuwan Keffi) and made available to the press on Monday May 1, 2023.
“On behalf of the TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation, We wish to extend warm greetings to everyone on this occasion of Workers’ Day. This day is a of celebration of the hard work and sacrifices of workers all over the world, and it is an opportunity to reflect on the importance of their contributions to the growth and development of our society.
“As we celebrate this day, it is important to recognize the challenges that workers face, particularly in Nigeria. Many workers in our country are faced with low wages, poor working conditions, and limited access to social protection. These challenges have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has had a significant impact on the global economy and has disproportionately affected workers in low-income countries like Nigeria,” it said.
Dabfulani said that at the *TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation, they are committed to supporting workers and their families, particularly those who are most vulnerable.
“We believe that access to quality healthcare, education, and social protection is essential for all workers, regardless of their sector or employment status,” the statement said.
The foundation therefore, called on employers, government officials, and civil society organizations to work together to address the challenges facing workers in our country.
“We urge all stakeholders to prioritize the welfare and well-being of workers, and to take concrete steps to improve their working conditions, reduce poverty, and promote social inclusion.
“Once again, we wish all workers a happy Workers’ Day, and we pledge our continued support for their welfare and empowerment,” the statement concluded.
