Former gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Architect Shehu Ahmad Tukur (ASAT) has emerged as a top contender for the now vacant seat of Nasarawa West district in the Nigerian Senate following the resignation of Senator Abdullahi Adamu, days ago. 
This is coming barely few hours after Barr. Mohammed Hassan Abdullahi, Nigeria’s Minister of Environment announced his decision to withdraw from the senatorial race. 
Tukur, a government contractor who is the Vice Chairman, Western Zone of the governing party, hails from Keffi Local Government Area.
