Traditional Institution Vital To Development Of Society – Senator Alli

*Pays gratitude visit to traditional rulers, political leaders in Ibarapa zone

The Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District, Senator Sarafadeen Alli on Friday, said traditional institution is vital to the development of the society.

Senator Alli expressed this during a  gratitude visit to traditional rulers and political leaders in Ibarapa zone area of Oyo State.

The Senator in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr Akeem Abas, made available to journalists, reaffirmed  commitment to the traditional institution.

Speaking at the palace of the Olu of Igboora, Senator Alli who cited his role as a fellow senior traditional Chief and Maye Balogun of Ibadan land, emphasized the importance of the role of traditional institutions in the progress of the  society.

Senator Alli said that he deeply understands and appreciates the value of the traditional institution, vowing to do everything within his power to support the elevation of these revered leaders.

Reiterating  his appreciation for their unwavering support, Senator Alli assured traditional rulers in Ibarapaland that they would always get their fair share of any benefits or offices that come his way.

On infrastructural development of Ibarapaland, Senator Alli hinted that he was working to ensure the completion of the power line running through Ibarapaland and that he his determined to collaborate with Federal Ministry of Works and the Hon. Minister of Works in reviving the abandoned Badagry/Sokoto expressway as part of his continued commitment to the district’s development. 

A former Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government and Olukotun of Iberekodo, Chief Akinyemi Akinlabi while speaking lauded Senator Alli for his unwavering dedication to the welfare of Ibarapaland. 

Chief Akinlabi who stressed that no previous Senator has ever accorded Ibarapa such immense attention, expressed confidence in the Senator’s continued commitment to the development of the district. 

The Senator’s visit was attended by notable traditional rulers in Ibarapaland, including the esteemed Olu of Igbo-ora, Oba Titiloye Jimoh; Onidere of Idere, Oba Aderoju Kingsley; Olu-Aso of Iberekodo, Oba Adedamola Badmus and Asigangan of Igangan, Oba Rafiu Ariwoola.

Others included Asawo of Ayete, Oba Okeniyi Ewuola; Elenpe of Tapa, Oba Sunday Oyekanmi; Onilala of Lanlate, Oba Sunday Oladejo; Onisagan of Sagaun, Oba Fasasi Jinadu; Eleruwa of Eruwa representative, Oba Olayide Ojedapo and hosts of others.
