The founder Tamallan Foundation, Dr. Saleh Musa Wailare has issued a condolence message to the government, the family and people of Kano State over the death of an elder statesman, Alhaji Bashir Othman Tofa who died in the early hours of Monday January, 3 2022.
In the statement signed and issued to newsman in Kano by his Personal Assistant on Media and Publicity Jabiru Hassan, Dr. Wailare described late Tofa as one of the prominent Nigerian citizens who contributed towards the progress of the great country and democracy in general.
"Alhaji Bashir Othman Tofa has given his utmost contribution to the progress of our nation especially in the democratic dispensation, and his contributions resulted in the unity and progress of Nigeria at all levels.
"On behalf of the management board of our foundation, I condole the government, family and the people of Kano State over the death of our father and neighbour who always cautioned us whenever we approached him on issues". He said.
Dr. Saleh Musa Wailare who is also aspiring for the post of member in Nigeria's Parliament from Dambatta/Makoda Federal Constituency, said that Nigeria lost a patriotic citizen whom until his death, was committed to the unity of the country.
