*Says  list  is recycling of old politicians

A New Nigeria’s People’s Party, (NNPP), Chieftain in Ogun State,  Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo on Monday, described names of Ministerial nominees by President Tinubu as a disappointment to Nigerians.

Ambassador Ajadi who said this in a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan, lamented that the names of ministerial nominees was nothing but, “recycling of old politicians”

He stressed that Nigerians are expecting young and energetic Nigerians as Ministers and not the recycling of old politicians as new Ministers under President Tinubu

“We are expecting young and energetic Nigerians as Ministers. The recycling of old politicians in Tinubu’s cabinet is a disappointment. Nigerians at this time needed committed, highly resourceful youths, not recycling of old and bemused politicians, most of whom did nothing tangible in the states they ruled for eight years”, he said.

Ambassador Ajadi added, “President Tinubu is getting it wrong with the calibre of people he has picked to work with. Most of the Ministerial nominees have been in government since 1999. Nigeria needs young people with fresh ideas and enough energy and  mental resources because the country is presently in a precarious situation”

On fuel subsidy removal, the NNPP Chieftain said President Tinubu ought to have planned well and put in place palliative measures before removing subsidy on  petroleum products and that he should  immediately provide succour to Nigerians who have been suffering untold hardship as a result of his removal of subsidy on petroleum products.

Emphasizing that President Tinubu should let the welfare of Nigerians be his priority, Ambassador Ajadi frowned at what he called the dilly – dallying posture of the present administration over palliatives. adding that Nigerians are going through excruciating pain and they deserve immediate succour

“First of all, you can no longer delay the palliatives because your policies are bitting hard on ordinary Nigerians. There is the need for the President to increase civil servant salaries and when that is done, he should not forget the pensioners. I suggest N200, 000 Minimum wage for workers to cushion the effects of the removed subsidy. Acceding to N200,000 minimum wage will show that President Tinubu is a democrat who cares for the welfare of the citizens he is governing”.

The NNPP gubernatorial candidate in Ogun State during the last general election pointed out that President Tinubu ought to have planned well and put in place palliative measures before removing subsidy on  petroleum products.
