Teachers Welfare Our Priority – Zamfara SUBEB Chair

The Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) chairman, Prof. Nasiru Anka has reiterated his board’s determination to improve the welfare of teachers in the state.

Prof. Anka made the disclosure in an interview with newsmen in his office on Wednesday.

According to him, the role played by the teachers in nation building in the state can never be compromised by his board.

He stated that, the board is set to improve teachers capabilities through training and retraining for them to be fully qualified to teach in the state.

According to him, the board will partner with Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) in order to meet basic education system in the state.

“We are going to work hand-in-hand with Universal Basic Education Commission to ensure our children have access to basic education system particularly rural communities in the state”. He said

Prof. Anka added  that the state government through the supervising  ministry of education and state Universal Basic Education Board under his watch are working round the clock to ensure the education sector is been revamped.

“We are going to map out more blueprint on how to improve our education system in the state as plans are under way to reinvigorate the system to greater hight by the state government”. He said.

He further pointed out that more qualified teachers will soon be recruited to develop the education system in the state.

He enjoined teachers in the state to remain committed in their duties for the development of the state.
