Ahead of the upcoming supplementary Election scheduled to take place across the nation tomorrow April 15, 2023, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Kaduna State has distributed electoral materials to be used for the rerun of some affected state assembly elections in the state.
The distribution of the sensitive and non sensitive materials to various local government areas offices, which took place on Friday, was led by the Administrative Secretary of the commission, Malam Mashi at the Kaduna State INEC Headquarters.
Speaking at the event, Mashi explained that the affected LGAs include, Kudan, Sanga, Giwa West and Chawai/Kauru.
According to him, there’s going to be a rerun of election at 18 affected polling units and 11 registration areas of the affected LGAs for the state assembly elections.
Mashi, appealed to electorate at the affected polling units and registration areas where the rerun of election are expected to take place to remain calm and peaceful, while they observe and exercise their franchise.
