Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has warned prospective trouble makers in the state to steer clear of violence or be prepared to face the wrath of his  administration.

The no nonsense governor who was in Kabba  on Saturday  for All Progressives  Congress (APC) rally,  was unequivocal when he said that any deliberate act of violence in the state will be  met with stiff resistance of his administration.

Governor Yahaya Bello’s undiluted note of warning in Kogi West might not be unconnected with  the gale of  killings among  thugs,  that Kogi East is characterised by to the consternation of onlookers.

“I want to tell you to ignore those who are threatening violence because they will be neutralised way before the election, they will be disappointed, I want to call on the security agencies to rise to the occasion, you have done it before, you can do it again, my people are not ready to give them a chance”, he said.

Bello called on the people of Kogi-West to join hands in forming a government that would meet their yearnings and aspirations.

He said, “The achievements of my administration are visible for all to see. This is not the time for us to be complacent. We cannot afford to be in the opposition, not with the many plans President Bola Tinubu’s administration has for Kogi State.

“In the last couple of years, we have built and rebuilt our infrastructure. We have made Kogi money and resources to work for the people. We cannot afford to be dragged back”, he said.

“I appeal to the people of Kogi-West to vote for the APC to enable consolidation, unity amongst our people and to ensure that the coming generation of the people of Kogi-West can be proud of what has been achieved,” said Ododo’s mentor.

Highlights of the rally were the receiving of decampees from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and other opposition  and the presentation of the flag to the APC governorship candidate.

The campaign team earlier visited the Obaro of Kabba, HRM, Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi, who assured of the continuous support of traditional rulers for the state government.

In his remarks, the Kogi State APC governorship candidate, Usman Ododo whose interest it was that Governor Bello presented to Kogi west in Kabba said he was committed to consolidating on the progress and development achieved by Bello.

His words, “I’m prepared to serve and to open a new page of development in the state. Governor Yahaya Bello has laid a solid foundation for the state and I’m poised to ensure sustainability and consolidation.”
