Ogun Order vacated/NUJ ELECTIONS:
OUR STAND.
All facts considered, we have resolved to fight the procedural irregularities and pursue all pending litigations relating to the fact that Chris Isiguzo and Garba Mohammed are unfit to be president and Chairman Credentials Comittee respectively. This we shall do even after the charade in Umuahia.
Meanwhile, let it be known that we are boycotting the so called election and demand that no vote shall be entered in the name of our Presidential candidate, Yusuf Idris. Our candidate has formally notified the Credentials Committee on this.
We appreciate the numerous councils and professional colleagues that are boycotting this charade in solidarity with our legitimate concerns as Journalists who refuse to accept misfits as leaders.
We also wish to reiterate our respect for the rule of law and all laws that guide the affairs of people in a decent society as ours.
