Southern Kaduna Labour Party Senatorial Candidate Honoured By Catholic Church, Promises To Ensure Quality Representation

The Southern Kaduna Senatorial candidate of Labour Party in the 2023 general elections, Engineer Michael Ayuba Auta, was on Sunday at St. Dominic Catholic Church, Ungwar Pama, Kaduna, presented with an award commending his selfless hard work, as well as numerous contributions, improvement of livelihood and human development.

Speaking shortly after the presentation, the Parish Priest of the church, Rev. Father Raphael Diga explained that the church has for a long time been following the activities of Engr.  Michael Ayuba Auta, whom he described as a philanthropist, saying his human activities earned him  the award, as a way of encouraging him to do more to humanity.

The Chairman,  Parish Pastorial Council, Mr Dauda Barau added that the church has followed the antecedents of the awardee, stressing that he has done tremendous things to the growth and development of humanity, saying that the church has to as a way of recognising his good works and to also encourage him.

The awardee told newsmen shortly after the presentation, that it is good to know, serve and to return to God what He has blessed him with, saying, “All that l have in life, l am a caretaker with all that God has blessed me with and l have to touch the lives of people  irrespective of  differences.”

He added, “I have learnt all my life to give the little God has blessed me with and to use it to bless and to  praise the name of God Almighty. That is why anything that comes my way, l do not hesitate to give it out as a way of blessing the life of another person.”

Speaking about his political ambition, the Labour Party Senatorial candidate said, “To me, l am a businessman and politics is a part time business that one does. I am in the Senatorial race to change the narratives of how it ought to be especially in Southern Kaduna if given the mandate to represent the zone at the National Assembly.”

He lamented that Southern Kaduna is in serious need of infrastructural development for the area to be recognized globally. 

“Southern Kaduna is blessed with all that is needed for its development to be recognized in the world map.

“Southern Kaduna does not need government to be able to survive, it needs empowerment. Unfortunately, most of our people have lived a life of public service. There is the need to encourage our people, especially the youth and women to take their stand to be able to earn a living that will take them completely out of poverty,” he explained.

As a Senator, he said the first thing is to collaborate with the security agencies to secure the environment, stressing that as a Senator, he would struggle and lobby to ensure many good things come the way of his people and to provide the enabling environment that would give them the opportunity to effectively carry out their legitimate activities to enhance their standards of living.

Speaking on agriculture, Engr. Auta explained that the area is good for greater yields if properly taken care of, adding that he would ensure ginger farming is given proper attention in order to enhance its cultivation and ensure the area is recognized worldwide as the real hub of  in very high quality.
