The wife of the Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Senator Teslim Folarin, Barrister Angela Folarin is dead.
According to a statement made available to newsmen in Ibadanby the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Senator Folarin, Comrade Yekeen Olaniyi, Barrister Angela Folarin died early Friday in the United Kingdom.
“With total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, we announce the death of our wife, mother and sister, Chief (Barr.) Angela Nwaka Folarin.The wife of Oyo Central Senator was confirmed dead on Friday afternoon. She breathed her last in UK.”, he said
Olaniyi added, ” the deceased was hale and hearty until the angel of death knocked the door.May Almighty God Comfort us and Grant Late Angela an eternal rest.”
In a condolence message, the Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ) Oyo State Council described the death of Barrister Mrs Angela Folarin as sad and devastating.
In the condolence message signed by the Secretary of the Union, Comrade Sola Oladapo, Oyo NUJ expressed sadness over the death of Angela.
“The Chairman, Ademola Babalola had since called Senator Folarin who was on his way to catch flight around 4pm, minutes after the unfortunate news of his wife’s death was broken.Demola Babalola in the brief chat on phone with Senator Folarin said Angela’s death was shocking and one death too many to bear.”, it said
Oyo NUJ added, ” Distinguished Senator, this is sad and devastating. May Allah comfort you; the children and all the family members of the deceased.”
