As  Eid-el Kabir celebration is approaching across the globe, prices of livestock and related animals remain affordable in Kano markets, while people  were seen busy buying some animals according to their demands.

Our correspondent who visited some open markets in Kano, reported that livestock like rams, goats, cattle and camels are affordable, while poultry and other birds were also being patronized by some  persons for the Sallah ceremonies.

At Dawakin Tofa Local Market, livestock like ram and goats were sold between 35 to 90 thousand Naira, while poultry and other birds were sold between 2,000 to 5,000 Naira respectively.

Most of the people that had  a chat with New Nigerian described the prices as affordable.

Similarity, at Kofar Na’isa, where camels were being sold, the price was also fair. They were sold between 80 to 200 thousands Naira, while the buyers were seen busy selecting some of their choice, which shows that this year’s festival would also be remarkable.

Some of the dealers disclosed that people of all categories are trying to at least buy a ram for sacrifice, while others bought their animals to celebrate with their families to mark the annual event.
