Member House of Representatives, Hon. Samaila Suleiman has urged Muslim Ummah to use this year’s Sallah occasion as a period of devotion, sacrifice and show of love for one another as exemplified by Prophets Ibrahim and upheld by Muhammad (SAW).
He enjoined Muslims marking Sallah to intensify prayers for the rescue of remaining train passengers and others still in captivity of the terrorists.
In his Sallah message, Hon. Suleiman who is the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) flag bearer for Kaduna North Federal Constituency in 2023 election, lambasted the ruling APC for failing to protect lives and property of law abiding Nigerians .
He made reference to yet to be rescued abductees of Kaduna bound train and many others still in custody of the terrorists whom he noted had defied the present administration, daring every measure of the Buhari’s Government.
According to him,” Kaduna State remains the hotbed of terrorist activities that a day or two could hardly pass without the news of innocent citizens being kidnapped or killed with the Government without a clue on how to change the situation.
” If it were in a saner clime where lives of citizens matter, every arsenal and workable measure would have been deployed to rescue these victims who have been subjected to every form of humiliation and debasement while the government goes about its activities as if all is well.
” It is high time We rethought our electoral contract with APC by assessing if truly the party has met up her side of the bargain as pledged during campaigns that they would provide security, revamp our economy, revive our dignity home and abroad among others.
” I urge all Muslims to use this occasion by invoking the intervention of Allah to rescue the country from the misrule of APC and their agents because it’s obvious they have nothing to offer Nigerians now and forever.
” We pray that our brothers and sisters still in captivity and many others in distress and at the mercy of terrorist bandits be interceded in the spirit of Sallah which symbolizes freedom and happiness in believing in the supremacy of Allah.
” I am optimistic that there will be light at the end of the tunnel for Nigerians despite the hardship they’re subjected to by APC just as the mother of Prophet Ismail found water for her son after supplicating to Allah, ” he assured.
He also went further to call on the good people of kaduna state to go out there and get registered to enable them get their voters card to send the ruling party packing.
