Former Federal Legislator Hon. Rufa’i Ahmad Chanchangi has thrown his weight behind presidential bid of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying the former two term Governor of Lagos State capable of solving Nigeria’s economic and security problems.
In a press statement, Chanchangi eulogized virtues and leadership chivalry of Tinubu, describing the founding father of APC as a builder of men and political colossus whom he noted contributed immensely to the growth and development of democracy in Nigeria.
Rufa’i, who was Chairman, House Committee on Aviation and Customs blasted critics of Tinubu on old age, declaring the National leader of the ruling party fit, healthy and of sound mind whom he noted would do better as president than most Nigerian Youth.
The Kaduna State Governor Hopeful urged APC Stakeholders, particularly delegates from the North to reciprocate kind gesture and the supports the region got from Tinubu in 2015 and 2019 Presidential election by ensuring his emergence at the party’s National Convention.
On his governorship bid, Chanchangi expressed confidence to win primary election of APC, adding that he would eventually emerge Governor of the state in a fair and credible contest.
He reiterated commitment to welfare of the masses, adhere to rule of law and ensuring the state becomes business hub and tourist destination in northern Nigeria by tackling the insecurity challenges he stated prevented genuine investors to the Capital of the old Northern Region.
While regretting rising insecurity across the state, Chanchangi pledged to nip the menace in the bud as soon as he gets into Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House, Kaduna.
