Reps Storm Warri, Inspect Arrested Vessel, Meet Tompolo

Members, House of representatives Oil and Gas Committee on Friday,  visited the arrested vessels by operatives of Tantita Security Services Limited (TSSNL) owned by former-militant leader, Government Epemupolo a k a Tompolo at Oporoza, Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.

The committee members briefly held a meeting with the ex- militant leader, High Chief  Government Ekpemupolo a.k.a Tompolo on Friday.

The House of Representatives committee members inspected the vessels and interacted with Captain Warriedi Enisouh, Chief Operating Officer of Tantita.

They also interacted with arrested crew members of MT Harbor Spirit, before heading for an interaction with Tompolo.

The committees are; Host Communities Committee, Niger Delta Committee, Gas Resources Committee, Environmental Committee, Petroleum Upstream Committee, Petroleum Mainstream Committee, Special Committee on Crude oil theft, and Petroleum Trust Committee.

The team was led by Rt. Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa, Chairman Upstream and Oil theft.

It would be recall that Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) in collaboration with security personnel from the Nigerian Police and the NSCDC  arrested the Mordovia’s vessel, MT Harbor Spirit with IMO No. 8226272, alongside 12 Nigerian crew members perpetrating illegal crude oil bunkering in Bayelsa State.

The Tantita’s Executive Director (Operations), Captain Warriedi Enisuoh, parading the ill-fated ‘Harbor Spirit’ and its arrested crew members to journalists on Tuesday, where the vessel is presently anchored at Tantita facility at Oporoza in Gbaramatu Kingdom, near Escravos.

He noted that the ship was “arrested at about 1.00am in the early hours of Sunday as it was loitering around Sangana Oil Field in Bayelsa, where it was already anchored into one of the oil platforms there loading crude oil illegally.
