“This is part of the federal government’s intervention to alleviate suffering of our people and ensure food security across the country,” Zanna  said.

It was also  observed that those who  benefitted from the gesture included  youth, women groups and CJTF and other  stakeholders from various sections,  irrespective of political consideration.

Zanna noted that the youth and women groups are vulnerable, but he also holds those sacrificing their lives to provide peace so dearly, especially Civilian Joint Task Force members and other volunteers who deserve much of his support.

He thanked President Bola Tinubu, the Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima and Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum for all their support in ensuring that the troubled areas of his constituency were liberated which gave freedom and peace to Internally Displaced Persons returned back to their ancestral homes with dignity.

In a vote of thanks on behalf of the other chairmen of Magumeri and Gubio, as well as beneficiaries, the Chairman of Kaga Local Government Area, Alhaji Goni Abdullah described Hon. Zannah as a philanthropist even before he became a federal lawmaker, as his foundation has impacted positively on the lives of many people including students that he sponsored their education within and outside the state.

He therefore, commended the federal lawmaker for supporting the civilian JTF and other security agencies consistently.

However, Abdullah warned the beneficiaries against selling the food items given to them, saying doing so will discourage future efforts of the lawmaker and government.
