As part of  efforts to boost Nigeria’s oil production, a Federal lawmaker, representing Warri Federal Constituency, Rt Hon. Thomas Ereyitomi, has called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to support and improve the contract of Tantita Security Service Limited (TSSNL) owned by ex-militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, (Tompolo).

Tantita is the private security company hired by the federal government for surveillance of oil pipelines.

Rt. Hon. Thomas Ereyitomi of the  House of Representatives,  lauded Tantita Security Services Limited (TSSNL), for their job so far.

Ereyitomi further called on the federal government to give Tantita more support by the expansion of the contract as a result of its performances in less than a month.

In an open letter written to President Bola Tinubu,  the federal lawmaker is seeking improved support and expansion of contracts for Tantita.

“Open letter to Mr President on the arrest of MT KALI & MT Harbor Spirit by Tantita security service in collaboration with the special Task Force of the Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla Psc, FSS within one month.” It said.

In the letter, Ereyitomi highlighted the performance of TSSNL, a private security company which has intercepted two major vessels stealing oil crude and arrested them with the stolen product.

The lawmaker noted that since his earlier letter six months ago, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has procrastinated the contract renewal of Tantita for six months, describing the development as unfair.

Some part of the letter to president Bola Tinubu reads, “As you are aware, Mr. President, crude oil’s daily production has kept improving. It shows some people work day and night to ensure a turnaround, and those responsible for the feat, the government must encourage.”
