Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani has hosted Christian clerics and other members of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to Iftar dinner at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House on Sunday.
They were led to the dinner by the outgoing Chairman of the Kaduna State Chapter of CAN, Rev. Joseph John Hayab.
The speakers at the Iftar dinner, commended Governor Uba Sani’s administration for uniting the citizens of Kaduna State, bringing development closer to the people, and doggedly promoting interfaith dialogue.
The governor said “they are particularly impressed with our prompt response to the abduction of the Kuriga school children, describing it as a clear demonstration of responsive and responsible leadership.
“They admonished us not to go back on the noble path we have chosen because it is the sure road to Kaduna’s greatness.
“I thank the Christian clerics for honouring us with their presence and praying fervently for continued peace in Kaduna State, improvement in the security situation, and the success of our administration.
“We shall continue to promote dialogue and cooperation among people of different faiths. We are one people before God. We must always consider our diversity as our strength. We are all stakeholders in the Kaduna Project.”
