Member House of Representatives, Hon. Ahmad Munir representing Lere Federal Constituency has enjoined Muslim faithful to utilize the Ramadan period for supplication for God’s divine intervention and succour for Nigeria to overcome economic hardship experienced across the country.

He underscored the potency of prayers in the Month of Ramadan, saying supplications of fasting Muslims would go a long way in getting the attention of God to specifically grant respite to Nigerians in  the face of economic bottlenecks.

The federal lawmaker in a statement, also emphasized the importance and the reward of giving out alms to the needy, especially in the present economic downturn.

The member while decrying rising cost of living and its resultant effects on the masses , expressed hope that the present travails would soon be a thing of the past with fervent prayers performed in complete faith and belief in the ability of Allah to ease pains of mankind.

“We must all admit the fact that our beloved nation is going through a trial where majority of masses find it difficult to feed as it should be.

“Times are indeed difficult for most families who have a number of mouths to feed and cater for.

“We must not lose hope and become overwhelmed by our current challenges which are not beyond the control of our Creator Who has enjoined us in several verses of the scriptures to turn to Him in repentance and intercessions whenever we encounter difficulties in life.

“I am optimistic that our present situation will soon be transient because Nigerians are known for their resilience rooted in adherence in the worship of God Almighty.

“I therefore, call on us to endeavour to be steadfast in prayers for our country in this holy Month of dawn to dusk fast, ” he added.
