An Islamic Cleric and Aare Musulumi of Akinyele Local Government in Oyo State, Alhaji Salaudeen Akintoye Akinleye has called on Muslim faithful in Nigeria to use their resources to project and propagate Islam.
Alhaji Akinleye gave the charge in Ibadan while speaking at a post Ramadan lecture organised by the Oyo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).
According to the Islamic Cleric, promoting Islamic religion will go a long way to engender peace, good neighbourliness and development in the society.
Emphasizing that there was nothing worth promoting than religion, the Are Musulumi of Akinyele promised to devote his remaining years to the welfare of humanity
In his remark, the Chairman, 2016 Oyo NUJ Ramadan Lecture Planning Committee, Alhaji Kamaldeen Abiodun Akinkunle, described Alhaji Akinleye as an exemplary Muslim leader who devoted his energy, time and wealth to the welfare of
others in the society.
Speaking at the lecture, Oyo NUJ Chairman, Comrade Gbenga Opadotun urged other wealthy Muslims in the country to emulate Alhaji Akinleye by encouraging peaceful co-existence in their neighbourhood.
