Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders working for the victory of Alhaji  Abubakar Atiku in Oyo State on Monday, said it is now time for door-to-door and polling unit to polling unit campaign rather than any meaningless jamboree.

Addressing newsmen in Ibadan after the PDP leaders meeting, the group leader and former Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Elder Wole Oyelese ask eligible voters in the country to come out in their numbers on election day to  exercise their franchise and give Nigeria  a new lease of life by  electing  Alhaji Atiku as the next president of Nigeria

The former Minister declared that the priority of every PDP members at this home-streched stage in the race should be winning the election for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and not any form of distraction at this crucial time in the preparation for elections.

Elder pointed out that enough of spending precious time on frivolities as the time has come for total concentration on the coming presidential and other elections and ensure victory for PDP and all its candidates.

Speaking on behalf of other PDP leaders in Oyo State, Elder Oyelese noted, ” this is not the time to engage  in activities whose value is at best belated as the people of Oyo State have long made up their minds to vote for Alhaji Atiku in the presidential election”

Stressing that PDP in Oyo State has adequately made a big statement by the Atiku Freedom March held towards the end of last year by the leadership of Atiku loyalists, Elder Oyelese stressed that any other such activity will  therefore amount to an overkill and a complete distraction at this point  in  time.

Elder Oyelese therefore, called on the loyal members of the party to exert their energy more on door to door and polling unit to polling unit campaign rather than any meaningless jamboree at this home-streched stage in the race.

Maintaining that the remaining few days before the presidential election does not allow for any frolicking but serious contact activities, Elder Oyelese

He stressed that other leaders of the party  including former Deputy Governor of the  state Alhahi Hazeem Gbolarumi, Hon Wale Adegoke , Former Commissioner  Mikhail Aborode,  Engineer Femi Babalola Jogor, Hon Busari, Chief Segun Oyewole are equally calling on all members to ensure they sensitize other members of the PDP in their areas to locate their PVC and keep them handy and ready for voting.
