The Standard Bearers Islamic Organization (SB), Ile Ife branch has mapped out plans to organize a press conference on the state of the nation and the first ever annual scholars colloquium on Sunday, August 21, 2022 by 9:00am.
The colloquium tagged ‘An-Nadwa’ which will hold at Enuwa Central Mosque in Ile Ife with the theme ‘Political Participation In Non-Muslim Nation: Ethics And Rulings’ promises to be a positive life changing experience for all intending participants.
The programme aims to educate Muslims on the Islamic position on participating in the electoral process of non-Islamic nations. ” We have been seeing some Muslims who preach against participating in politics describing it as Kufr- unbelieve. This programme promises to address this issue based on sound Islamic position. The programme will be handled by very competent scholars and therefore promises to be enlightening and highly educative”, Ustadh Hassan Abdulfatai said.
The colloquium will be graced by a lot of renowned scholars such as Sheikh Dhikrullah Shaffi ,who will be speaking on the topic ‘How To Achieve Good Governance In A Democracy’ and Shaykh (Dr) Bilal Asrau who will be speaking on the topic ‘Position of Scholars on Muslim Participation in Electioneering and Voting In Democratic Dispensation’.
The coordinator of the SB Ile Ife, Ustadh Hassan Abdulfatai disclosed that the organization will also hold a press conference at the event addressing the state of the Nation.
He however, urged the intending participants to invite their family and friends while coming for the colloquium.
