The Judiciary Staff Union Of Nigeria  (JUSUN )  Plateau State Chapter  has embarked on an indefinite industrial strike to press home demands on the union’s peculiar allowances, thereby paralyzing court activities in the state.

This is because the committee earlier set up by judiciary management  to look at the fact finding of the union headed by Justice C.L Dabup and others stopped abruptly following the information from the government that they can’t afford to implement the union’s demand because they borrowed to pay salaries.

The chairman of the union, Comrade Philip Longji  made the clarification on Monday March 7, 2022, in an interview with journalists at the state High Court premises in Jos, Plateau State capital following the paralyzed courts activities occasioned by the union’s strike.

The chairman who lamented the actions of the committee who didn’t deem it necessary to approach the union for them to go back to the government because their agreement with him is that personnel cost is hundred percent.

They union decried Governor Lalong’s insensitivity to the demand of the union because they were expected to have approached us the union.

“We are the ones looking for financial autonomy and you went out of your way in borrowing money to pay salaries”. He said.
