The Plateau State House of Assembly has passed 15 bills seeking alterations, among them are; ‘Local Government Autonomy’ and ‘Not-Too-Young-To-Run bills’.
Mr Peter Azj, Speaker Plateau State House of Assembly led members to vote in favour of the bills while presiding over the plenary that saw 16 out of 24 members in attendance.
The express passage of the bills attracted applauses from North Central Coordinator and Leader of the Plateau State Action Team for Not- too -Young -to-run, Chris Inyama and President of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Plateau State Chapter, Mr Samson Mafuyai.
Earlier, the Speaker of the House,Mr Peter Azj directed the Acting Clerk of the House, Longbab Wuyep to make clean copies of the passed bills to relevant authorities.
