The court case instituted by three  aspirants of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Zamfara Guber Primary challenging emergence of Dauda Lawal Dare as candidate of the party has again been adjourned to August 22 for final submissions by all parties.

Ruling after Monday’s accelerated hearing of the case in a series of a four days consecutive sittings at Federal High Court Gusau, Presiding Judge, Justice Aminu  Bappa stressed the need for parties involved to prepare their final submissions at next date for the matter.

Earlier, counsel of the plaintiffs argued that the election that brought the fourth respondent, Dauda Lawal Dare as the party’s candidate was marred by gross Irregularities and ran contrary to constitutional provisions of the party.

The trio of Ibrahim Shehu Gusau,  Wadatau Madawaki and Aliyu Hafiz  were at High Court Gusau seeking nullification of the May 25 primary election.

Parties in the legal litigations had in past hearings of the case, presented witnesses to buttress their arguments on why the matter should be ruled in their favours.

The counsel to the plaintiff was able to present three witness, saying their testimonies are enough to convince the judge to see reasons why the primary election should be nullified.

Whereas the counsel to the defendants were unable to present a single witness, which has never happened in cases as such, claiming they are comfortable with the step taken.

The trial Judge however, urged both counsels to the defendants and plaintiffs to tidy up all their presentations for hearing at the next sitting for final judgement.
