PDP Vice Chairman, Accord, ADC  Leaders Decamp To APC In Oyo State

Vice Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo West Local Government Area of Oyo State and others on Wednesday, decamped to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The PDP Vice Chairman, Alhaji Mumini Azeez led  hundreds of PDP leaders, as well as other leaders and members of Accord Party, African Democratic party (ADC) and Action Democratic Party (ADP) at the rally held at Open Ground,  Methodist Primary School, Apaara, Oyo.

Speaking at the rally, the former Vice Chairman, Alhaji  Azeez  described PDP as, ” a haven of deceit where no reasonable citizen should play his politics.

” The state governor who is also the leader of Oyo PDP is full of deceit and pretence. He takes advantage of people’s patience and loyalty to enslave them,” he said. 

Alhaji Azeez added, ” we suffered a lot in his hand and we are now sending a message to him that the masses will pay him back at the polls very soon”.

Welcoming the decampees, Oyo state APC governorship candidate, Senator Teslim Folarin charged them to join hands with other APC members in ensuring the party’s success in the 2023 general elections.

Represented by the Deputy Director-General of Oyo APC 2023 Campaign Council, Asiwaju Yemi Aderibigbe, Sen Folarin said the new APC members will not be deprived of any benefits and opportunities in the APC.

Other defectors into the APC with hundreds of their followers include; Alhaja Ejide Saka (ADC), Mrs. Olawumi Kola (PDP), Mr. Nurudeen Abule (Accord), Mrs Olaide Akande Damo (ADP), Pastor Sulola Taiwo (Accord), Mrs Eniola Oyelere (Accord), Mr. Mustapha Sakiru, Mrs Fatimo (ADP) among others. 

The defectors were received by the APC candidate for the Oyo Central Senatorial District, Dr. Yunus Akintunde, the House of Representatives candidate for Afijio/Atiba/Oyo East/Oyo West, Hon. (Prince) Akeem Adeyemi and Hon. Kazeem Tunde Arole.

Others include, Alh. Tajudeen Olanite (State Secretary), Olawale Sadare (State Publicity Secretary), Alh. Yinka Folarin, Hon. Femi Akintunde, Hon. Segun Taiwo, Hon. Billy Ogundele, Chief Ogundijo Ogundiran, Chief E. O Olaoye, and Chief Sunday Elegbede.
