PDP Group Fumes Over Killings In Southern Kaduna

A group under the aegis of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Think Nigerian Project, comprising of patriotic citizens has urged the Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai to tackle the rising spate of  killings in the Southern part of the state.

In a statement jointly signed by its National President, Abdulhamid Abdullahi Ikara and Director Media and Publicity, Cyril Oparacha, the group expressed worries over  killings in Southern Kaduna.

“This organization hereby strongly condemns this act and therefore, calls on the Kaduna State government under the leadership of Governor Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai to rise up to his constitutional responsibility of protecting lives and property of the people of Kaduna State”.

“The Governor must redouble his effort to ensure these killings stopped so that it will not be continuous spread to the remaining part of the state and to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice”.

“We wish to sympathize with the victim’s families and people of southern Kaduna”.

“This organization hereby recommend to the Kaduna government that after taking inventory record of property destroyed and burnt. The state government should render assistance to the victim’s families”. 

The group therefore, called on the youth of Southern  Kaduna to stop any forms of violence, adding that they should embrace dialogue for peace and development.
