Bad parenting and the lack of God in families and society have been attributed to being the reason for moral malfunction of youths in the country.

Making this assertion at the Women of Worth (WOW) Catalyst Church Conference, with theme: Woman of Substance, Guest Speaker, Pastor Fola Elesho, admonished parents to at every time, know what their children are doing and create room for them to be friends.

She said, Godly relationship between parents and children always reflect in what the society gives to its people and that builds what the country becomes in the comity of nations.

“We must build family ties as parents and be united in the training and raising of our children. Mothers and fathers must as a unit raise their children together; it’s not for favouritism for particular ones, even if necessary sometimes.”

Pastor Elesho added that due to family failure most children have low self-esteem and for parents to get the best out of them, they are expected to create time for them.

“They as parents should have time for their children and families. Speak and ask questions on what you didn’t do well, and how to do what is right better.”

She advised that as Women of Worth, women are ensure that their generation gets and achieve their God’s given purpose.

On her part, Pastor Grace Akinbami, the convener of the conference, while collaborating with with the speaker, enjoined parents to always put the fear of God in their children because as the trend of events in the world everyday unveils a new pattern, reverence, honour and respect of God is paramount.

“Parents are to watch and pray, put value and be attentive to everything their children are doing.”

Pastor Akinbami reminded parents to know that people, “should know that life is a transit and as such, don’t allow the challenges of living blind us to the fact that there’s a Superior Being.”

The Resident Pastor of the Church, Kingsley Odemior, charged parents to ve alive to their callings and not be deceived by tricks of flesh into thinking that the world determines the children, who are leaders of tomorrow”s future.

“Parents owe as responsibility to raise their children in the way of the Lord;  the bible says in Proverbs 22:6; that parents should raise their children in their prime in the way of the Lord, so that when they grow, they won’t depart from it.”

The conference is an annual event and the pastor urged everyone to attend that of next year.
