Special prayers for national unity, peaceful coexistence and economic progress would be a continuous programme to be organised by Dawakin Tofa Local Government Council of Kano State.
The chairman of the council, Honourable Ado Tambai Kwa made this known shortly after the special prayer session held on Thursday at Asibitin Tafasa prayer ground Dawanau, where he reassured that prayers remain the best solution for any issue to humans.
He added that his administration resolved to adopt special prayers in order to seek God’s intervention to any form of issues that need remedy, and commended the Islamic scholars that always trooped en mass to participate in the prayer sessions often organised by his council.
“I am of the opinion that conducting special prayers with people is one of the best approaches to addressing issues that retard national unity, peace and progress. We always pray for the success of our great party All Progressives Congress (APC) and Gawuna at the Supreme Court after winning election petition tribunal and the court of appeal recently,” he emphasised.
Kwa called on the people of Kano State to continue to be law abiding citizens for the development of the state, while thanking all those who offered helping hands towards the promotion of peace and unity in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area, Kano State and Nigeria at large.
