Governor Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai of Kaduna State, on Monday has said that they are trying to do their best as 2m people are watching them.
The Governor said this, during the swearing of newly appointed commissioners and other political appointees into Kaduna State Executive Council held at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, in Kaduna.
He said, the state government should be for the less privileged, it is what they will do as leaders that will move Kaduna State forward.
He explained that, they are brought on board because of their competency in their services to the state, and also remember their oath of office and to always do right to all manner of people without fear or favour.
He urged them to focus on their work not to engage in propaganda, but be involved in the job assigned to them and abide by the promise made to work faithfully on their assignments.
He expressed that, doing their job is more important, for betterment of government and people in the state.
“We reshuffled and assigned you because you are doing good in your duty posts”, he said.
According to him, they are preparing them ahead of future engagements in the state.
He commended and congratulated them on their appointments.
Those newly appointed are; Dr Ibrahim Hamza, Commissioner of Water Resources, Ruth Geoffrey Alkali Commissioner of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Bilki Mary Luka Yusuf Commissioner, Fiscal Responsibility Commission.
