The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Ondo State Chapter, has commiserated with the family of Late Alhaji Jide Salami, a member of the Institute and a Staff of the Mass Communication department of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, who recently died after a brief illness.
In a condolence letter jointly signed by the Institute’s State Chairman, Mr. Ishola Lamidi and Secretary, Ayokunle Ikusemiju, members of the Institute mourn and empathise with the family.
The Institute has therefore postponed its monthly meeting for the month of October, as a mark of respect for the departed. It described the deceased as a very dedicated member and known to be a hardworking, resilient, punctual, enigmatic and consummate teacher, saying he showed great commitment to any cause he believed in and gave support to those in need.
Alhaji Salami contributed in no small measure to the success of the Institute’s Public Lecture/AGM and Election which took place late last month.
The Institute therefore expressed his deepest and heartfelt condolences to the family, assuring them of its continued support. It also prayed that God grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
