The All Progressives Congress (APC), Chairman in Ondo State, Engr Ade Adetimehi has given kudos to the Management of Owens Press, Publisher of Hope Newspaper over what he described as “quality production”.
Adetimehin gave the commendation on Tuesday when the management team of Owena Press paid him a courtesy visit in his office at the party Secretariat in Akure.
He noted that with the economic meltdown experienced in the country, the state government has reviewed downward subversions given to its agencies, though with the promise to review same upwards when the economy improves.
He, however, advised the organization to extend its circulation to all the 18 local government areas of the state with a view to go on daily production.
If the daily production could commence, he said there would be improvement in sales, with more patronage in terms of advert placement across the state.
Daily production, he said, could hit appreciable level which would invariably shore up its marginal revenue that would spur it to go national.
He described the newspaper as one of the best among other local newspapers and magazines in the state in terms of informing the people about government and APC programmes.
Adetimehin therefore noted that the people at the grassroots needed it to get acquainted with the Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu-led administration’s programmes and policies so they could easily key into them.
In his response, the head of the visiting Management team, Mr Kole Akinjeji, Administrative Manager, described the APC Chairman as a selfless leader, commending him for his doggedness in piloting the affairs of the party.
He how ever expressed the readiness of the newspaper to give the party a voice as an unbiased umpire reporting all sides of the stories.
Other members of the visiting team are Mr Olawale Olakunle, Production Manager, Mr. Olusola Alatise, News Editor and Mr Segun Aderiri.
