*extols 42nd Olubadan on coronation

The Chairman Senate Committee on Local Content,Senator Teslim Folarin on Thursday said the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Senator (Dr.) Lekan Balogun is capable of attracting unprecedented development to Nigeria’s largest city.
Senator Folarin who is the Ayingun Olubadan in a congratulatory message to Oba Balogun described the new Olubadan of Ibadan “an unprecedented Ibadan king”
The Ayingun Olubadan and lawmaker representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Senator Teslim Kolawole extols the virtue of the new Olubadan in his felicitation message made available to journalists in Ibadan on Thursday.
According to the Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District stated that Oba Lekan Balogun is an “Unprecedented Olubadan” because he is the first accomplished educationist, successful politician, seasoned administrator and well-exposed personality to ascend the exalted throne.
“On behalf of Baale Royal family and the good people of Oyo Central Senatorial District, I convey our best wishes to Your Imperial Majesty, Oba Senator (Dr.) Lekan Balogun on the auspicious occasion of your coronation as 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland”, he said
Senator Folarin added, ” Kabiyesi, your peaceful ascension to the throne of your forefathers is Divine. I thank Almighty God for your life. I am confident that you will leverage on your wealth of experience, innovative ideas, honour, dignity and glorious strides to advance the cause of the people of Ibadan, Oyo State, Yorubaland and Nigeria at large”.
“While I am assuring you of my maximum support as your subject, I urge you to religiously preserve the long years of peaceful coexistence in Ibadan, and also focus on attracting legendary developments in Ibadanland.
“I wish to humbly remind Your Imperial Majesty that Ibadan remains one of Nigeria’s influential cities and plays a key role in the peace, unity and security of the country. Therefore, I advise you work closely with the constituted authorities, Nigerian traditional institution and other critical stakeholders”.
Senator Folarin stressed ” as we celebrate your ascension to the revered royal throne, I pray your reign brings enormous blessings to the people of Ibadan, Oyo State and indeed the entire nation”.
“May God Grant Your Imperial Majesty the grace of long life, good health and increased wisdom to rule Ibadanland peacefully, harmoniously and prosperously. Kabiyesi, ki ade o pe lori, ki bata o pe lese, ki esin oba o jeko pe ooo. Amin” .
