Newly re-elected President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Engineer Musa Nimrod has advised athletes representing Kaduna State at the 2021 National Youth Games (NYG), not to abandon the state for other suitors, who will be out to poach athletes.
He gave the advice, while addressing the athletes before their departure for Ilorin.Â
“Don’t look down on Kaduna State, you have no other state.
“If you do well at the NYG, they will come for you ahead of the National Sports Festival (NSF) billed for Delta State in 2022, don’t leave your state,” he stressed.
Addressing the athletes and officials earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Sports Development Kaduna State, Alhaji Mahmood Yamusa urged the 235-man contingent to go for gold.
He wished them.well, tasking them to be good ambassadors of the state.
In his remarks, the Director of Sports Kaduna State, Alhaji Yakubu Ibrahim advised the contingent to make the state proud.
