President  Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu deserves commendation for the nomination of Barrister Bello Muhammad Goronyo as a minister to rekindle the hope of Nigerian youth.

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) mandate requires the inclusion of youth and women in politics to strengthen the bond of democracy, to empower and create space for youth and gender for good governance.

However, the United Nations’ Goal 4 recommends that for a country to develop, it must include youth in the government machinery to achieve the global vision 2030.

To achieve the vision of eliminating poverty and achieve sustainable economic growth and human development, the UNDP mandate requires the input of youth to accelerate national growth in governance.

The young Bello Muhammad who served as a Commissioner of Information in the previous government of Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has many feathers to his cap as a barrister, a politician with versatile knowledge in political campaign strategy and human development.

Making Barrister Muhammad Goronyo a minister will give youth voice in the Tinubu’s government and champion the cause of youth political development within the periscope of UNDP and the Sustainable Development Goal 4.

With 70 per cent of youth population and 64 per cent of unemployed youth in Nigeria, Barrister Bello and other integrated youth in the Tinubu’s government will help in improving youth.welfare and prospect in the country.

While indeed it is a nomination for the people of Sokoto State, but it is going to be a benefit for the North-West and Nigeria. Selecting Honourable Muhammad Bello for a minister is on merit and for benefit of the country and its people.

With quantum of knowledge in various fields of human endeavour, political mobilization and national growth, Barrister Muhammad Bello deserves a good portfolio that will grease the engine of lubricating Nigeria’s progress and development, and as we wait for Senate screening and confirmation of Barrister Muhammad Bello Goronyo as a minister in President Tinubu’s cabinet, Nigeria’s progress is sacrosanct and President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s success is momentous for eight years.
