NLO Division Two Bauchi Centre: TY Buratai Academy Retains Qualification Hope With 3-1 Victory

TY Buratai Football Academy kept their qualification hopes alive with a 3-1 win over KUFCA FC, in NLO Division Two Bauchi Center encounter on Tuesday.  

Baki who netted a brace and Yayo were on the scoresheet for TY Buratai Football Academy to make a comeback from the 1-0 lead by KUFCA FC at the early stage of the game. 

The opening goal was scored by KUFCA FC in the first eight minutes of the game, which got off to a fast start. Later, in the 17th minute, TY Buratai was awarded a penalty, but the opposing custodian stopped his attempt.

The second half started in grand fashion for TY Buratai Football Academy as they equalized  in the 49th minute. The ball was whipped into the box and Baki gave the KUFCA FC goalkeeper no chance to make a save.

KUFCA FC defender was given a red card on the 65th minute of the game after initially receiving a yellow.

TY Buratai continued putting crosses into the KUFCA FC box and their persistence was rewarded in the 69th minute when a mistake from the KUFCA FC defense allowed Yayo to pounce and slot the ball past to give the TY Buratai the lead.

KUFCA FC  created a few chances after the second goal and kept knocking on the door but to no avail as the TY Buratai defence stood strong and resolute.

Baki, however, ended the hopes of the KUFCA FC at the end of the day with a finish in the 84th minute. This all but secured the three points for the TY Buratai Football Academy, who will now face GIMZSOCA FC in their final game tomorrow Wednesday .
