The  National  Chairman of  Action  Alliance  (AA)  Dr. Adekunle Rufai Omo-Aje  has said that  the  Nigerian military is about the best trained and exposed in the African subregion, saying their exploits in and out of the shores  of the  country is so  amazingly glorious in terms of expertise and exploitation.

He expressed this in a statement to commemorate the 2024 Nigerian  Armed Forces Day, made available to the media in Kaduna on   January 15, 2024

Omo-Aje however, expressed dismay that it seems Nigerians are not as appreciative enough as they ought to be of them, because of the “Nigerian system and factor”   that exposes them more than necessary to the point that people get too familiarly used to them than normal.

According to him, the Armed forces  sacrifices of the civil war of the past were too numerous  and these gallant heroes  paid the supreme price to keep  everyone  alive today

He added that, “their feat is also visible when you  talk of the

internally orchestrated intrigues of terrorism and banditry, and everyone will agree that these men in green uniform deserve our

accolades.

“I want to appreciate the doggedness and spirited boldness of our gallant military men.

” I pray that their services to the nation and us all will surely not go unappreciated and want to appeal to the current administration of our President, the highly rated Asiwaju

Bola Ahmed Tinubu to devise a means for better appreciating the services of these gallant men and women who stay awake to keep us safe and secure.

“I am happy that the president is already doing something in line with Immortalizing the fallen heroes and  also reaching out to their families. Initiatives like this inspire more resolute zeal in these men  to put in more in serving the nation as expected of them.”

The AA National  chairman opined that one of the highest guided responsibilities of any government around the world is the  security of lives and property of its citizens.

According to him, Nigeria is not in isolation from the rest of the world with the same focus and aspiration.

The military in Nigeria he added, has over time, proven to be responsible and up and doing.
