The Chairman of Synergy Promotions, Sir Olawale Okunniyi on Saturday, assured Nigerians of victory as Nigerian boxing champion, Ridwan ‘Scorpion’ Oyekola prepares for another International boxing bout against Keisuke Matsumoto of Japan on August 30 in Tokyo.
Sir Okunni gave the assurance while speaking with the journalists declared that going by the optimal preparations and top form of the Nigerian boxer, victory is certain for him in the Japan National Title Belt and WBO Asia Title Belt,
The chairman of the local organizing committee for the World Boxing Federations (WBF) Super Featherweight belt won by Scorpion in 2020, urged Nigerians to support Ridwan, the Scorpion, who will be battling a ‘son of the soil’, Keisuke Matsumotoa a Japanese born in Yokohama, Kanagawa, with professional boxing record of eight wins in eight bouts (8-0-0) in his backyard in Japan.
“I want to urge all lovers of sports especially boxing in Nigeria to support Ridwan ‘Scorpion’ Oyekola because with your backing and prayers”, he said.
Sir Okunniyi added, ” I can assure that he will make Nigeria proud by winning both the Japan National Super Featherweight belt and the prestigious Asian Super Featherweight International title belt in far away Japan”.
