Leadership of a Fulani group under the aegis of ‘Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore’ has blamed Usman Ngelzarma, the President of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), for disappointments the pastoralists are facing in the country.

The National President of the Association, Bello Bodejo and the National Secretary, Engineer Sule Alhassan expressed  this at Damaturu the Yobe State capital at the inauguration of its newly elected leaders who are to man the affairs of the association in the next two years.

They alleged that the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria boss has been supporting killer gangs leading to the death of many pastoralists in the country.

“We are here to draw the attention of our members about the activities of Baba Usman Ngelzarma who has been supporting gang groups to kill pastoralists and unfortunately, he is leading one of the pastoralists’ organizations.

“We were so disappointed when we saw the letter he wrote to Corporate Affairs Commission, we condemn it, and that was why we came to Yobe to tell his people to be very weary and careful with his activities.” he said.

The rival group also pledged to support the ambition of Governor Mai Mala Buni as well the Tinubu/Kashim Shettima ticket at the 2023 general elections.

“We have asked our members to all support the re-election of Mai Mala Buni as Governor of Yobe State and Tinubu/Kashim Shettima as Nigerian President, because they promised us a better life”.

On  farmers/herders conflict, the group blamed access to grazing areas, scarcity of water ponds and climate change as the major challenge fueling the crisis.
