NCWS National President Inaugurates New Kano Executive

The National President, National Council Of Women Societies (NCWS) Hajiya Lami Adamu Lau on  Thursday July 7, 2023, inaugurated the newly elected Kano  State executive officers of the society in a colourful ceremony.

In her welcome address, the outgoing NCWS  President, Hajiya Zainab Ali Musa said that the  election of the new  state executive officers was done in a peaceful state convention,  where delegates from the 44 local government areas made the polls.

She added that, ” Kano NCWS is working with one voice, and from what we have done,, Kano women remain committed to ensuring that the female gender progression is enjoyed at both rural and urban settlements. Therefore, I am certain that the new executive officers would continue from where we stopped”.

Hajiya Zainab Ali Musa commended the delegates and former executive officers for their dedication and hard work towards the success of NCWS in Kano State.

She thanked the National President, Hajiya Lami Adamu Lau for witnessing the inauguration of the new executive officers.

In her inaugural speech,  the National President, Hajiya Lami Adamu Lau described Hajiya Zainab Ali Musa as one of the best state  NCWS presidents that contributed to women  development in Kano before elevating to the national level as public relations officer during the last NCWS national congress.

” I am therefore, charging the newly sworn-in state executives to discharge your duties effectively in order to transform our society to an exemplary non governmental organisation, and I congratulate you on your victory during the just concluded state convention,” she concluded.

Speaking shortly after taking oath of office, the newly inaugurated President, Hajiya Amina Shehu Ismail promised to work diligently  to promote the council in Kano State.

She commended both the National President, Hajiya Lami Adamu Lau and the outgoing state president who is now the National Public Relations Officer, Hajiya Zainab Ali Musa for actualizing the inaugural ceremony.

Our correspondent who had a chat with some delegates, reports that the occasion was attended by the 44 local government NCWS executive, representatives from the state government, wives of the council chairmen and women groups.
