NBTE Accredits Professional Science, Engineering Courses At Dutse Poly

The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has accredited professional science and engineering courses for Jigawa State Polytechnic, the Rector, Dr. Aliyu Abdu Ibrahim has disclosed.

Speaking to newsmen in Dutse, he said, “with this feat, it will ginger us in putting more efforts to producing  talented scientists and engineers in the near future”.

Least amongst the accredited courses are HND in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Accountancy, Mechanical Engineering, Building Technology, Technical Education, and Technical Engineering.

Others are Computer Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering,  Social Development, Environmental Health, OND in  Community Health, and Food Nutrition.

“With this feat and  fully operational  seven colleges, we are equal to the task in achieving our desired objectives in offering qualitative, and vocational training in different learning pursuits for us to produce the best among equals in both character and learning,” he said.

Other courses accredited by the NBTE are, OND and HND in  Building Engineering, Computer Sciences, Business Admin,  Public  Administration, OND in Social Development, among others.

On his achievements, the Rector said, “we have achieved a lot in areas of infrastructural development through the support of the  Tetfund intervention in the provision  of  befitting theatre halls, administrative blocks, among other needed facilities, upgrading of our clinic to a full pledged hospital equipped with qualified doctors, nurses, and medication.

He commended NBTE, the Tetfund, and Jigawa State Government for their continuous support and assistance at all times for the advancement of the institution’s general activities, and warned students to be punctual at their studies and be of good moral standards.
