Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), has extended condolences to the Borno State Government and the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Borno State Council, over the demise of veteran journalist, Malam Isa Gusau.
This was contained in a statement signed by the National Chairperson, Comrade Aisha Bura and National Secretary, Comrade Wasilah Ladan, issued to newsmen in Kaduna.
According to the statement, the news of the demise of Malam Isa Gusau who was Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy to the Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum was received with great shock.
It explained that, the death came when his invaluable contributions as an experienced veteran in the journalism profession would have added immense growth and development to the profession, Borno State and the entire country.
The statement expressed the association’s heartfelt condolences to the Borno State Government, the deceased immediate family and NUJ, Borno State Council and prayed they would bear the irreparable loss.
