Nasarawa First Lady Reiterates Govt’s Commitment towards Women Empowerment

Nasarawa State First Lady, Hajiya Silifat Abdullahi A. Sule has re-echoed the resolve of the Governor Abdullahi A. Sule’s administration to ensure economic empowerment of the women and youth in the state.

Silifat Sule made the disclosure when she played host to APC Women Leaders from Keffi Local Government Council in her office at the Government House Lafia.

Hajiya Silifat Abdullahi Sule who reiterated the focus of the Engineer Abdullahi Sule led administration on policies and programmes that impact positively on the lives of the people, explained that the administration is also keen on transforming the lives of women in the state.

She said the recognition accorded the women folk through domestication of the federal government’s conditional cash transfer and other empowerment programmes are initiatives by Governor Abdullahi Sule to ensure they are carried along in the scheme of affairs.

While assuring of the sustenance of efforts in that regard, the Nasarawa State First Lady maintained that more is being done to better the lives of women who are the lifeline of any society, hence their position must not be compromised.

Leading the Women Leaders From the ten electoral wards in Keffi Local Government Area, Hajiya Talatu Saidu explained that they were in the First Lady’s office to re-echo their support to the administration and also sue for more appointments for women.

Away from the visit by the women leaders, the State First Lady, Hajiya Silifat Abdullahi Sule played host to a delegation from Keffin Shanu/Beti ward as issues that dwell in their needs for government’s presence in their area topped the discussions.
