NAFDAC D-G Begins 2nd Term in Office

The reappointment of the Director-General of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Professor Mojisola Christianah Adeyeye, has been approved by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Adeyeye officially assumed duty for her second tenure of five years on Friday December 30, 2022.

Information provided by Dr. Abubakar Jimoh, Director, Public Affairs of NAFDAC, stated that Adeyeye was received by some members of staff of the agency at the corporate headquarters in Abuja.

Jimoh disclosed that the NAFDAC leader will be unfolding her plans for the second tenure after the holidays.

“The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Boss Mustapha (CFR), conveyed the approval of the President to Prof. Adeyeye whose tenure took effect from 1st December 2022.

“The Director-General’s reappointment came closely on the heels of her track record of monumental achievements and successes in the last five years especially the attainment of World Health Organization (WHO) Maturity Level 3,” Jimoh said.
