Movement For The Support Of Democracy And Good Governance (MSDG) has advised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to give assignments to Nigeria’s former presidents and Military heads of state like what is being seen in other countries across the globe.
In a statement issued to our correspondent in Kano, signed by the association’s secretary general, Alhaji Abubakar Mai Nasara, MSDG said that it is time to assign responsibilities to each of Nigeria’s ex presidents and Military heads of state to ensure that all hands remain on deck towards national development.
” In developed nations, all former presidents are given various types of assignments where they also accept and contribute towards the progress of their countries like what we have seen during the reign of late General Sani Abacha, when he assigned former President Muhammadu Buhari to chair PTF”.
The statement on the other hand, appealed to the former heads of state to accept assignments given them in order to contribute again for the rapid development of the country.
MSDG assured that if all former presidents and heads of state accept assignments given them by the present administration, Nigeria would be great and peaceful.
