The National Secretary of Jama”atul Nasil Islam (JNI), Dr kalid Aliyu has charged women groups in the country to mobilize and enlighten their members toward the 2023 election.
Speaking at the the special prayers organised by Muslim Women Federation of Nigeria (FOMWAN) held at the Jos central mosques.
He said the special prayers organised by the Muslim women federation was timely, considering the circumstances of insecurity including rampant cases of kidnapping in the country.
According to him, this is the time for the woman in the country to mobilize and educate themselves on the importance of electioneering process, especially the voters card registration exercise.
He lamented the recent increase in the cases of insecurity in the country and called on the political class to avoid any further crisis in the land.
The state amiral, Hajiya Kaltume Auwal explained that the arbitrary cases of kidnapping and insecurity in the country necessitated the special prayers, which fratured both Muslims and Christians in the state.
She noted that woman folk who are mostly affected in all the craziness and crisis in the country, ought to wake up to educate their own on the dangerous scenario in the country.
According to her, the women decided to use the month of Ramadan to pray for Allah’s intervention in the affairs of the country.
Also speaking at the occasion, an Islamic scholar, Sheikh Muhammad Abubakar Gaha noted that the country needs special prayers from all citizens, in view of the increasing cases of insecurity.
