MNJTF Presents Medals To 850 Sector 1 Troops Of JTF, Operation Hadin Kai North East

In its efforts to boost the morale and promote hardwork and commitment, the Force commander,  the Multi National Joint Task Force (MNJTF), Major General Abdul Ibrahim has presented medals to the General Officer Commanding 7 Division, Major General Wahidi Shuabu and  850 other troops of 7 Division of the Nigerian Army who.participated in Operation Kaje Sanity in the Northeast.
Presenting the medals at the 7 Division headquarters, Maiduguri, Major General.Abdul Ibrahim said the occasion was to appreciate and recognise the contributions of the troops in the just concluded Operation Lake Sanity.

The 850 personnel of the sector 1, operations Hadin Kai were part of the 6,000 troops  that participated in the Operation Lake Sanity of the MNJTF.
“I am here in Maiduguri, as part of  my Operational visit to the Theater Operation.Hadin Kai, I met with the troops of Air component and appreciated them for their air support in terms of air cover, logistics and evacuation of injured troops. Today, I am here to appreciate and present medals to the troops of the sector 1 Operation Hadin Kai for their contrition to the just concluded operation Lake Sanity”, General Ibrahim added.
He said ” as a result of the Lake Sanity successes, over 100,000 people were resettled back to the Northern part of the state, Lake region farming and  business activities have returned to Baga, Bsnki, Kirenoaa, Cross Kauwa in Nigeria, Amchide in Cameroon, and igher parts of Niger Republic and Chad’s schools, hospitals and business have pucked up in this areas.”
While assuring of their determination to end insurgency, the Force Commander said, ” I want to assure you that we are going to continue to work hard until we end insurgency in Borno, Northeast and the Lake Chad region in general.

” I want to use this opportunity to call on the insurgent fighters in the bush to use the opportunity given to them by the Federal government Operation Safe Heaven to surrender to our troops, and join  over 80,000 surrendered Boko Haram insurgents that are currently undergoing de-radicalization  exercuse. I want to assure them that nothing will  happen to them,” the force commander added.

He said as a result of the successes recorded in the operation, over 80,000 insurgents have surrendered to the troops of Operation Hadin Kai.
He also thanked the service Chiefs, especially the Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, the Chief of Army Staff,  Lt General Faruk Yahaya and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal, Isiaka Amao for their continued support and commitment to the operation.
