Mayere Community in Makarfi Local Government Area of Kaduna State last weekend, held a grand reception for their son, Dr. Abdulkadir Mu’azu Mayere, who was appointed recently as the Secretary to the Kaduna State Government (SSG) by Governor Uba Sani.
The SSG, who was received by his friends, well wishers and family members from both Mayere and the neighbouring communities on his first visit back home after his assumption of office assured them of doing his best to deliver as the SSG
Addressing the crowd, an elder statesman who is also the chairman, Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) Kaduna State Chapter, Alhaji Lawal Umar, noted that Governor Sani made a good choice by selecting Dr. Abdulkadir as SSG considering his track records and experience in the Federal civil service.
Also, the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Kaduna State University (KASU) Professor Yusha’u Ango, believed that with the appointment of Dr. Abdulkadir, the present administration has taken a bold step towards repositioning the state for the benefit of all.
In a remark, the SSG thanked the Governor for giving him the opportunity to serve in his administration, promising to live up to expectation and work tirelessly to justify the confidence reposed in him.
He gave an assurance of doing everything possible to ensure the implementation of policies and programmes that will meet the yearning of the people of the state.
Those are in attendance included, the district head of Makarfi, Alhaji Adamu Abdullahi Sulukin Zazzau, the district head of Gubuchi, Dr. Bello Lawal Durumin Zazzau, Alhaji Suleiman Abdulkadir Garkuwa Zazzau, Alhaji Belle Umar Barayan Zazzau, village head of Ikara, Dr. Suleiman Aliyu among other traditional title holders.
Others are politicians, educationists, farmers and business groups. Highlights of the occasion was phisical demonstration of traditional songs by different Hausa musicians.
